Vision Doeve Brokers

Klipperkraak with an unique character and a rich history. With a Clipper bow she combines the elegance of a clipper with the characteristics of a Kraak, such as her inward bow, fairly straight sheer and the small hollow. Until 1927, the Klipperkraak sailed the Dutch inland waterways, including the Zeeland streams, until she exchanged her sails for an engine and a hoisting gear. For decades she held her own as a freighter, until she became a houseboat in Amsterdam in the 1960s. In the 1980s she was re-rigged and restored to her former glory. The interior is simple and someone with two right hands can create something very beautiful out of her. The beating heart is an unique “Blue Deutz”. She is a Sailing Monument, a living piece of maritime history that would enrich any museum harbor. No export restrictions.
