The Allegonda-L, a characterful former cargo vessel with potential. The Allegonda-L is a former inland cargo vessel of the Luxe Motor type, with a rich maritime history. Originally she sailed independently, but later she became part of a push/tow combination (koppelverband) together with the motor vessel Allegonda. Built in 1925 at the H. Kroese Shipyard in NL-Hoogezand, she was launched with an original length of 30.44 metres. In 1957, she was extended to 38.92 metres, a configuration under which she remained in service on the inland waterways for decades. In 2022, the vessel was shortened to approximately 29,75 meter, in preparation for conversion into a liveaboard in NL-Amsterdam. Drawings were made for this residential project, which are still available. Unfortunately, this conversion plan was discontinued. It is known that some work on the underwater hull still needs to be carried out to meet current standards. Nevertheless, the Allegonda-L represents a well-priced opportunity. With her elegant lines and authentic appearance, she offers great potential for a buyer seeking a unique floating residence or conversion project with character.
