Feeling

Chantier Kirie is a French shipyard located in the city of La Rochelle. The company was founded in 1966 by Michel Kirie and specializes in the construction of sailing yachts. In the 1970s and 1980s Chantier Kirie was a leading shipyard and built some of the most famous sailing yachts of the time.

One of the first yachts built by Chantier Kirie was the "Challenger 32" in 1970. This was a 32 foot sailing yacht that became very popular due to its good sailing characteristics and comfortable interior. In 1975, Chantier Kirie built the "Gib'Sea 28", a 28-foot sailing yacht that went on to become one of the yard's best-selling yachts.

In the 1980s the "Feeling" line was introduced, these were sailing yachts with a modern and innovative design. The first Feeling, the "Feeling 10.90", was a great success and won several awards. Other models such as the Feeling 44 and the Feeling 52 were also successful.

In 2000, Alliaura Marine took over the Kirié shipyard and continued to develop the Feeling range. In addition, the Feeling 32 was voted "Sailboat of the Year" by the French nautical magazine "Voile Magazine" that same year. Unfortunately, they went bankrupt in 2012 and production of the Feeling range has ended.
