At the location in NL-Voorschoten where Jachtwerf Klaassen & Zn. was located it is hard to imagine that hundreds of classic yachts were built here in the past, including the famous Super Van Craft and Klaassen Kotter and Vlet.

The founder of the yard, B. Klaassen, praised his product and personally invited customers to visit the yard. Unfortunately, the shipyard went bankrupt in 2003.

After the spring of 2000, the cabin superstructure of the ships was no longer made of mahogany or teak but of steel.

Klaassen yachts have a characteristic appearance, are graceful and have the look and feel of the old saloon boats.
