Olivier van Meer is the designer behind Puffin Yachts, which are built by VMG Yachtbuilders in Enkhuizen in the Netherlands. In 1990, he began developing a cutter that would reflect his personal preferences. It was not his intention to creating a boat that was intended for any specific client.

Puffin Yachts are known for their sturdy construction, elegant lines, and exceptional performance. They are designed for comfortable cruising, with spacious and well-appointed interiors and plenty of deck space for relaxing and enjoying the views.

The company offers a range of models. There are currently 3 standard models and an Explorer version, all to be built in aluminum. They are available with a built in centerboard or a fixed keel. Each model is customizable to meet the owner's specific requirements.
