Shipyard Van der Poel is a Dutch shipyard that was located in NL-Hazerswoude. The company was founded by Mr. Van der Poel. The shipyard was mainly known for the production of the Stella Maris yachts. These motorboats were very popular in the 1970s and were praised for their excellent sailing characteristics and beautiful finish. The Stella Maris yachts were built in different sizes, from 8 to 15 meters in length.

Unfortunately, the production of yachts at Van der Poel came to an end in the 1980s. Competition in the yacht building sector had increased sharply and the yard could no longer compete with the large yacht builders. Nevertheless, the name Van der Poel is still known in the yacht building world and the Stella Maris yachts are still appreciated by enthusiasts.
