Victoire Jachtbouw is a Dutch shipyard founded in 1961 by Dick Koopmans Sr. and Frans Maas. The company started as a small shipyard in Alkmaar, but grew into one of the most renowned yacht builders in the Netherlands.

Victoire is known for its high-quality sailing yachts that are made of high-quality materials and with great attention to detail. The company has built several models, including the Victoire 22, Victoire 25, Victoire 28, Victoire 32, Victoire 34, Victoire 40 and the Victoire 42. These yachts are all designed by renowned Dutch designers such as Dick Koopmans Sr., Dick Koopmans Jr. and André Hoek.

The company has won several awards for its yachts over the years. For example, the Victoire 933 won the title "European Yacht of the Year" in 2000 and the Victoire 1200 was awarded the "Dutch Yacht of the Year" award in 2009.

Unfortunately, Victoire Jachtbouw had to close its doors in 2018 after being in operation for almost 60 years. The bankruptcy came as a shock to the Dutch yacht building industry and to many owners of Victoire yachts.

There were several reasons for the company's bankruptcy, including the high cost of building high-quality yachts in the Netherlands and strong competition from cheaper yachts from other countries.

Despite the fact that the company no longer exists, there are still many owners of Victoire yachts who are very satisfied with their vessel. The yachts are known for their good sailing characteristics and comfortable interiors, which makes them very suitable for long-distance cruising.

In the years of operation, the company has built an excellent reputation and won many loyal customers. It is therefore a pity that the company no longer exists. Fortunately, many Victoire yachts can still be found on the water and will hopefully enjoy their owners for many years to come.
