Dutch Sailing Tjalk 17.66
Vision Doeve Brokers
This former sailing inland cargo vessel was, after many wanderings, purchased in 2004 by the current owner. Since then, this Dutch Barge has been thoroughly and professionally restored, both inside and out, with the aim of making her suitable for small-scale charter operations. After being used for charter purposes for some time, she was then mainly used for recreational purposes. On board, a well-running classic “Blauwe Deutz” engine has been installed, which makes the vessel particularly unique as a sailing ship. In the forepeak there is a toilet, and in the former hold has been created a spacious seating area. A separate compartment houses the Kabola heater and the water tank. Further aft, there is the walkthrough to the aft cabin, where the engine room is located on the starboard side and most of the electrical installation on the port side. The aft cabin includes a built-in galley and a comfortable round seat. This Sailing Tjalk is an impressive appearance on the water and, in our opinion, would be perfectly suited to any museum harbor.
