Gipon Lemsteraak 11.10
Vision Doeve Brokers
This Lemsteraak is a fine example of a design by J.K. (Jaap) Gipon. The vessel was built by the owner, an experienced yacht carpenter, and has proven herself in practice during many fine voyages through the Netherlands, Germany and the Baltic Sea. It is a solidly built sailing yacht, constructed in oak with epoxy, ensuring a strong and durable structure. In recent years she has been sailed under engine power, which works perfectly with the powerful Perkins engine. The vessel has a spacious cockpit with cockpit benches. Below deck, the Lemsteraak offers a practical and warm layout. The salon is fitted with a U-shaped seating area and a galley. Forward there is an owner’s cabin, a bathroom with toilet and a cabin with four berths. In the forepeak there are the battery set and the inverter, as well as ample storage space, including for the sails. The vessel is currently not rigged; the spars and leeboards are stored at another location and must be collected and fitted by the buyer. Additionally, the varnish requires attention. The asking price is based on this. On the other hand, a distinctive and characterful vessel is being offered, proven herself to be a solid, seaworthy and practical yacht with excellent sailing qualities. An interesting project for the enthusiast who wishes to restore a classic vessel to full glory.
