Shipdock I, executive vessel 14.23
Vision Doeve Brokers
This remarkable historic vessel was commissioned by the Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NSM) as an executive launch and built at Shipyard 't Kromhout D. Goedkoop Jr., also based in Amsterdam. After delivery, she entered service under the name Scheepsbouw I. In 1951, she was renamed into Shipdock I, following the continuation of the yard's activities under the name Nederlandsche Droogdok- en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NDSM). The vessel is equipped with a characteristic Kromhout (Gardner) diesel engine, a suitable installation that perfectly matches her historical background. The forward accommodation has been refurbished in the past with great care and a tasteful finish that respects the vessel's original character. Overall, this is an attractive and distinctive craft that will provide her new owner with much enjoyment afloat. Thanks to her historic appearance and unique background, she is also a welcome participant at maritime heritage events. Her low air draft considerably increases her cruising range, allowing access to numerous waterways.
