Vision Doeve Brokers

At Doeve Makelaars, we hold a deep appreciation for ships that bear the mark of time and tradition. A vessel like this 1911 Lemsteraak is not a curiosity, but heritage that deserves to be passed on. Just as the Blinkert was once built with great craftsmanship as a yacht for the Count of Byland, this ship today again stands as a symbol of the class and steadfast character that have lost none of their value over the course of a century. In the original interior, still featuring the characteristic paneling and the visibly riveted hull, the spirit of the early twentieth century breathes through every space. The ship’s current condition calls for someone with the same dedication as the craftsmen who in 1993 at Stofberg worked on the hull, the bottom and the interior. The foundation is solid. The original interior paneling has been preserved, the restoration has largely been carried out and the nostalgia is tangible. What remains is the completion of a project that does justice to the past and deserves a future on the water. If you are looking for an authentic Lemsteraak of noble origin and have the vision to bring this ship fully back to life, we would be glad to hear from you. This is not a purchase, it is taking on responsibility for a piece of maritime heritage.
