ex Navy Motor Launch 30
Vision Doeve Brokers
This former motorlaunch of the Royal Navy of the Netherlands was built around 1900 at the Naval Dockyard in Den Helder, the Netherlands. With her distinctive steep bow, elegant classic lines and traditional wooden construction, she is a real eye-catcher. Her round-bilged hull is carvel-built in teak, with an oak keel timber and a deck made of Guariuba hardwood. In 2007, the vessel underwent an extensive refit. Propulsion is provided by a two-cylinder diesel engine dating from 1954, perfectly complementing the vessel's historic character. The spacious open cockpit, which can be fully enclosed, provides an inviting setting for relaxed cruising with family and friends. Thanks to her dimensions and low air draft of approximately 1.40 meters, the Tuula is particularly well suited to explore both larger waterways and smaller inland canals. This beautiful classic launch is officially recognized as Dutch Sailing Heritage and represents an attractive opportunity for an enthusiast who appreciates maritime history and the preservation of historic vessels. The current owner and his family have been dedicated to preserving this remarkable launch for approximately 50 years and continue to care for her with the same commitment today.
